Getting in is a conversation,

No essays, no waitlists, no gotchas. If you're 17+ with a diploma or G.E.D., the path from "curious" to "enrolled" is six honest steps — and it starts with a tour, not paperwork.
The requirements — all of them
- You must be at least 17 years of age or older
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent certification of education, such as your G.E.D or proof of homeschooling registered in the state where you received an education.
That's the whole list. Still in high school? You can tour, plan your start date, and apply now for the cohort after you graduate.
The path
Tour → Enroll → Kit day → Floor → Boards → Licensed

Tour
Come see the salon floor — 30–45 minutes, either campus.
Nothing to bring. Bring a parent or a friend if you want backup.

Enroll
Complete the registration contract; your $100 registration payment secures your seat.
Proof of education (diploma, G.E.D., or registered homeschool proof) and a photo ID. Filing FAFSA®? Use code 015944 (Hays) or E02178 (Salina) — processing takes about 2–3 weeks.

Kit day
Day one you get everything: your kit and Pivot Point coursebooks are included in the program price.
Just yourself — the kit, books, and equipment are part of the published total.

Floor
Once you clear foundations, you work on real guests on the student salon floor, supervised by licensed instructors.
Your kit and your hours — every service counts toward your total.

Boards
Sit the Kansas Board of Cosmetology exams. In the 2024 NACCAS report, 100% of our graduates passed.
Your completed hours and exam application — we help you file.

Licensed
Licensed and earning — 83.91% of 2024 graduates were placed in jobs.
Lifetime alumni support: resume, portfolio, and interview help, forever.

What do I wear?
Comfortable clothes you can stand and move in all day. You'll get the campus dress-code rundown before day one — no guessing.
What does day one look like?
Meet your class, meet your instructors, get your kit and books, and learn the building. You'll have tools in your hands the first week.
Am I behind if I've never done this?
No. Everyone starts in foundations on mannequins — nobody touches a guest until they're ready.
What's the schedule?
Cosmetology runs full-time, Tuesday through Saturday. Your exact class schedule comes with enrollment, and admissions will walk your work/life logistics with you.
Transferring from another school?
You can transfer up to 1,000 completed hours. We'll evaluate your skills and knowledge, and you'll need a comparable working kit and textbooks. Your new-school request form and a signed release from your previous school get it moving — the school handbook has the full policy.
